The Mishimoto Performance Top-Mount Intercooler is a direct-fit upgrade engineered for the 2008-2021 Subaru WRX STI. It features a 3.75-inch thick bar-and-plate core with a volume of 584 cubic inches for optimal heat transfer, supporting vehicles from stock up to 400 horsepower. This intercooler provides a 10°F temperature drop and a proven 5 whp and 7 wtq power increase.

Constructed from 100% aluminum with durable cast end tanks, it is TIG-welded to the efficient core. Installation is designed to be simple, taking under 30 minutes, and does not require modification to the stock A/C line or the intercooler Y-pipe.

The Mishimoto Performance Top-Mount Intercooler is engineered to combat high intake temperatures in stock and modified 2008-2021 Subaru WRX STI models. Mishimoto's engineers dedicated extensive time to design and test this top-mount intercooler (TMIC) to ensure optimal performance for both street and track applications. This STI intercooler features a robust 3.75-inch thick bar-and-plate core with a substantial volume of 584 cubic inches. Combined with a dense, offset fin pitch, this design optimizes heat transfer and is capable of supporting vehicles with power outputs ranging from stock up to 400 horsepower. Rigorous testing has demonstrated a significant 10°F temperature reduction compared to the stock intercooler, along with a measurable bolt-on power increase of +5 whp and +7 wtq on a stock test vehicle. Construction utilizes 100% aluminum components, including durable cast end tanks that are TIG-welded to the highly efficient bar-and-plate core. The installation process is straightforward and can typically be completed in under 30 minutes. Notably, this unit does not require any modifications to the stock A/C line and integrates seamlessly with the stock intercooler Y-pipe.
