Top Mount Intercooler

The Cobb Top Mount Intercooler is engineered to significantly enhance the cooling efficiency of your 2015-2021 Subaru WRX's engine. Its cast aluminum end tanks are CAD-designed in-house for efficient air direction. Constructed with durability in mind, this intercooler replaces the stock unit's plastic end tanks, which can be a failure point due to expansion and contraction. The kit includes a heavy-duty mounting bracket to support the intercooler's weight and a COBB Thrust Tunnel, made from wrinkle-black powder-coated aluminum. This tunnel attaches to the factory hood ducting, ensuring that maximum ambient airflow is directed through the intercooler core for optimal charge air cooling. The intercooler is capable of supporting engines producing over 500 horsepower and is compatible with the CVT transmission. Installation of this intercooler requires the COBB Charge Pipe Kit. While a tune is not strictly required for safe operation, COBB recommends tuning to fully capitalize on the increased cooling capacity and potential power gains.
