The Hays Twister Full Race Torque Converter (MPN 97-3A36F) is designed for drag racing and high-performance applications. It features a custom anti-balloon plate and is built to withstand extreme conditions including trans-brakes, nitrous, superchargers, and turbochargers. Each unit is hand-built with internal welding (not brazing) for strength and durability. It uses heavy-duty Torrington bearings and stators with high-flow vents for cooling in high-horsepower applications. This full race series converter supports up to 1,000 horsepower. It has a single-application design to reduce weight and is specifically for Chrysler TF-727 transmissions, with a stall speed of 3600-4200 RPM. It requires 7/16"-20 flexplate bolts (not included).
