These fasteners are forged from vacuum-melted, micro-alloyed American HSLA steel and are fully stress-relieved before being centerless ground to achieve maximum straightness and cycle fatigue resistance. Each fastener is finished with a hot-temperature oil dip and a brilliant black oxide coating for superior corrosion protection. This kit is specifically engineered for engines already modified to accept 14 mm head studs. Installation is streamlined by a bottoming boss on the block-side threads, which eliminates the need for specialized tools during the assembly process.
