The Smarty Touch is capable of receiving software upgrades, including new firmware and updated tuning databases, ensuring optimal performance and compatibility. Specific firmware versions are available for model years up to 2018, with earlier versions also available for trucks up to 2016. Users can update the Smarty Touch by downloading a complete SD card image, which can then be installed on the device.
