Baseplates are vehicle-specific and integrated into the frame and undercarriage of the vehicle, connecting to existing holes and fasteners wherever possible for quick and easy installation. Roadmaster baseplates are designed and crafted to exacting standards, with computer-simulated "Finite Element Analysis" to ensure structural integrity and maximum strength. Each baseplate is custom-made to fit a specific vehicle year, make, and model. Roadmaster offers over 1,000 different baseplates fitting nearly every towable vehicle made in the last 25 years. Every baseplate is powder-coated for a durable finish. Roadmaster baseplates are designed and crafted in the USA from raw steel at their Vancouver, Washington facility. Late model baseplates have front arms that are easily removed when the vehicle isn't being towed. There are two types: Direct-Connect (for motorhome-mounted tow bars) and Crossbar-Style (for car-mounted tow bars, accommodating Roadmaster tow bars and accessories with a crossbar and/or quick-disconnect system).
