The BD Diesel Performance 1064194SS TowMaster Transmission and Converter Package is engineered to meet the demands of towing and heavy-duty applications for 2003-2004 Dodge 4WD trucks equipped with the 5.9L Cummins engine and 48RE automatic transmission. This matched set ensures ultimate performance and reliability, as every transmission is dyno tested together. Key features include a heavy-duty rigid aluminum transmission pan that adds 2 quarts of extra fluid capacity and has heat-dissipating fins to keep temperatures down. Internally, the transmission boasts a higher clutch count (DIRECT 6, FORWARD 5, OD 6, OD DIRECT 10), high-temperature/energy Raybestos bands, upgraded governor solenoids and pressure transducers for increased line pressure to 190-200psi, and roller Torrington bearings replacing stock thrust bushings for enhanced durability. It also includes a modified manual valve for lubrication in all positions and a magnetic drain plug, along with a cooler line case saver and an auxiliary full-flow filter kit for superior protection. This package is not warranted for race or sled pull use. It is designed for stock and modified trucks boasting 500-600hp and provides increased clutch count and high line pressure for towing confidence.
