The Motorcraft DE8T-1A180-AA is a direct replacement TPMS sensor designed for reliable performance and durability, manufactured to exacting OE standards. It operates at a 315MHz frequency and features an M8x0.8 thread diameter with a rubber valve stem construction. This sensor is compatible with multiple Ford, Mazda, and Lincoln models produced between 2009 and 2016. It replaces various original equipment part numbers, including 9L3Z-1A-189A, CM5T-1A180-AA, and DE8T-1A180-A, among others. Installation of this TPMS sensor requires a manual relearn procedure using a TPMS scan tool. The process involves adjusting tire pressures to the placard value, placing the vehicle into relearn mode, and scanning each tire sequentially (LF, RF, RR, LR) with the scan tool. A horn honk confirms each sensor's successful learning, and a double honk signifies the completion of the process. Driving the vehicle is necessary to finalize the procedure.
