The SR Performance 41164 is a premium short throw shifter crafted from 100% billet aluminum, offering a lightweight yet durable solution for your Mustang's transmission. Designed specifically for the Tremec TR-3650 transmission, this shifter aims to improve your driving experience by enabling shorter, faster shifts. It features an innovative design that makes the second-to-third gear shift quicker and easier, while also eliminating the 'loose' feeling often found in OEM gearboxes. The adjustable nature of the shifter allows for personalized settings, with two sets of centering return springs and adjustable shift stops for fine-tuning handle firmness. The included handle also offers multiple positions for further customization. Installation is straightforward, typically taking about an hour and requiring light to moderate mechanical skill. This shifter is compatible with factory shift knobs and aftermarket knobs that share the OEM thread pattern. However, it is crucial to note that this shifter does NOT fit early '01 to '04 GT models equipped with the T-45 transmission; it is exclusively for late models with the TR-3650. The SR Performance 41164 is engineered for 2001 Bullitt, 2001 Cobra, late 2001-2004 GT, and 2003-2004 Mach 1 Mustangs.
