The Treadstone Performance Front Mount Intercooler Kit is engineered as a direct upgrade for the 2005-2007 MazdaSpeed 6, offering a highly efficient solution for managing intake air temperatures. By repositioning the stock top-mount intercooler (TMIC), which is prone to heat soak, to a front-mount configuration, this kit guarantees cooler charge air temperatures, leading to improved performance. Customers can choose between two intercooler options: the TR8, rated to handle up to 500HP, or the TR1035, capable of supporting up to 666HP. Both kits include all necessary components for installation, such as brackets, bolts, silicone couplers, and piping. A key installation consideration is that the kit requires the removal or relocation of the factory windshield wiper tank. This intercooler kit is manufactured using high-grade T6061 aluminum with a bar and plate construction, ensuring durability and efficient heat dissipation.
