The Curt 15572 is a heavy-duty Xtra Duty Class 5 Trailer Hitch with a 2" receiver, engineered for a vehicle-specific fit to tow large non-commercial trailers. It is constructed from high-strength carbon steel and features a carbide black powder coat finish over a rust-resistant liquid A-coat for superior protection against rust, chips, and UV. It has wide safety chain openings and an open-back receiver for easy cleaning. It is rated for 15,000 lbs. gross trailer weight (GTW) and 1,500 lbs. tongue weight (TW), and with a weight distribution hitch, it's rated for 16,000 lbs. WD and 1,600 lbs. WDTW. This makes it an ideal choice for heavy-duty trailers like utility trailers, equipment haulers, horse trailers, and yacht trailers. Installation is classified as novice and does not require drilling. It comes with high-strength grade-8 hardware for a solid mount and is backed by a limited lifetime warranty (one-year finish, one-year parts).
