CURT class 1 trailer hitches are designed to add extra storage space to vehicles like compact cars, sedans, and crossovers. This hitch provides a functional rear receiver tube for attaching hitch-mounted cargo carriers or bike racks, or for towing light-duty trailers. It is engineered with a vehicle-specific design for a custom fit on certain years of the Acura TLX, ensuring a simple and secure installation with an integrated look. The hitch is rated to tow up to 2,000 lbs. gross trailer weight (GTW) and 200 lbs. tongue weight (TW), and features a 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver tube with an open back for easy cleaning. All CURT trailer hitches are tested for safety in accordance with SAE J684 at their Engineering facility in Michigan, utilizing real-time, on-vehicle testing. They are manufactured in the USA (may include imported hardware) using robotic and manual welding, then finished with a unique co-curing process involving a rust-resistant liquid A-coat and a durable black powder coat for an industry-leading rust, chip, and UV-resistant finish.
