Overview

The BMW Transfer Case Actuator is a replacement motor for BMW vehicles equipped with all-wheel drive (xDrive). This part actuates the transfer case to split torque between the front and rear axles. It is a common failure item on higher-mileage BMWs and can prevent the transfer case from functioning correctly.

Show original supplier description

The Genuine BMW Transfer Case Actuator is a direct replacement for the original component in BMW xDrive models. This motor is essential for the proper function of your vehicle's all-wheel-drive system, distributing power to the front and rear axles. Over time, particularly on higher-mileage vehicles, the transfer case motor can become a point of failure. Symptoms of a faulty actuator may include shifting problems, unusual noises from the transfer case area, fluid leaks, and compromised handling. Replacing a worn-out actuator is crucial to restoring proper drivetrain operation and preventing potential damage to other transmission components. This Genuine BMW part is manufactured to the brand's exacting standards, ensuring the same quality and performance as the original equipment. It is designed to fit a wide range of BMW models, including the 3 Series (G20) 330i xDrive, 5 Series (530i xDrive, 540i xDrive, 530e xDrive, 540d xDrive), 7 Series (750i xDrive, 740e xDrive, 740i xDrive, M760i xDrive, Alpina B7), X3, X4, X5, X6, and M550i xDrive. Specific model years and engine configurations are detailed in the fitment guide.
