Description

The GM 5740017 is a new input seal designed for the transfer case, specifically acting as the oil seal between the transfer case and the transmission. This part carries the National Stock Number (NSN) 5330-01-168-3870 and is recognized as a genuine AM General OEM component. This seal is explicitly designed for use with the Hummer H1, including all models, and the M998 HMMWV. It functions as a front input transfer case seal. As a replacement part, this seal is intended to maintain the integrity of the drivetrain by preventing leaks and contamination within the transfer case and transmission system. Its construction is described as a plain, encased oil seal.
