The Mishimoto transmission cooler is engineered to combat excessive heat in 2003-2009 Dodge Ram 5.9L and 6.7L Cummins trucks, whether used for towing, heavy-duty work, or daily driving. This direct-fit cooler utilizes a stacked-plate design for durable and powerful cooling. It boasts a substantial 212-percent increase in core volume and a 244-percent increase in fluid capacity compared to the stock transmission cooler, significantly enhancing its ability to dissipate heat. Mishimoto addresses a common failure point in stock coolers by incorporating a fully serviceable thermostat. This allows for fast warm-up in cold climates and can be bypassed in hot climates for constant cooling. The thermostat can be serviced or replaced individually, preventing the need to replace the entire cooler if the thermostat fails. The included stainless-steel bypass plug offers an alternative for constant cooling. This unit also eliminates corrosion-prone quick-disconnect fittings, replacing them with CNC-machined stainless steel hose barb fittings and SAE J1532 transmission fluid hose, simplifying installation and servicing by allowing direct connection to the stock soft-line. This transmission cooler includes a fully serviceable thermostat for optimized temperature control in various climates and is backed by the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty.
