The PPE Performance Transmission Cooler addresses this by providing critical cooling for your transmission fluid. When mainline pressure is increased through performance upgrades, additional heat is generated, making an effective cooler essential for longevity. This direct bolt-on replacement part lowers fluid temperatures by an additional 20 to 30 degrees Fahrenheit over the stock unit. It boasts an increased surface area, providing 60% more heat rejection. The cooler comes equipped with new 7/8-14 quick-connect fittings that are designed to work seamlessly with your factory transmission cooler lines, ensuring a straightforward installation. The PPE Performance Transmission Cooler is specifically designed for 2001-2003 GM trucks equipped with the 6.6L Duramax engine and Allison 1000/2000 series transmissions. It is crucial to check the color of the clips on your factory transmission cooler lines before installation. This part, with PPE number 124060000, is for coolers with Orange Clips. A separate part number, 124060300, is available for coolers with Purple Clips, intended for 2003-2005 models. The product is backed by a limited lifetime warranty.
