Transmission Crossmember

The Xcessive Manufacturing transmission cross member is engineered to facilitate 5-speed manual transmission swaps, specifically when upgrading from a W58 to an R154 transmission in SC300 and SC400 models. Constructed from a single plate of 1/4" steel, this cross member boasts a slim profile and eliminates the need for welds, ensuring durability and a clean aesthetic. Its design aims to simplify the transmission swap process while maintaining a competitive price point. The cross member features a double-slotted design, making it compatible with both W58 and R154 transmissions. For those opting for urethane mounts with late-model W58 or R154 transmissions from an SC or similar year, the Series 2 cross member is recommended. Owners of early W58 or R154 transmissions, such as those found in MK3 Supras, should be aware of mounting differences. These early transmissions feature rubber mounts with a narrow bottom bolt pattern that is not compatible with late-model SC chassis cross members. Xcessive Manufacturing offers a hybrid urethane motor mount (Series 5) to adapt these early MK3 Supra-style mounts to the later, wider bolt pattern required by these SC chassis cross members.
