Overview

The GForce RCC3-700 is a transmission crossmember designed for 1968-1980 C3 Corvettes.

It is compatible with several transmissions including the 700R4, 4L60, pre-1996 4L60E, TKO-500, TKO-600, TKX, and 2WD-AR5.

The crossmember features a black powder-coated finish and includes bottom-up bolts. The installer will need to reuse the original long horizontal bolts.

The G Force RCC3-700 transmission crossmember is engineered for 1968-1980 C3 Corvettes, offering an upgrade for swap fitment, strength, and improved exhaust clearance. This crossmember is designed to accommodate a range of transmissions, including the 700R4, 4L60, pre-1996 4L60E, TKO-500, TKO-600, TKX, and the 2WD-AR5. Constructed with durability in mind, this part features a black powder-coated finish for corrosion resistance. The package includes bottom-up bolts for installation, though the original long horizontal bolts must be reused. G Force recommends a polyurethane transmission mount, such as their GMTM, which is sold separately. Additionally, specific Boss Hog Torque Converters are recommended for this application. Installation instructions are available for download, detailing specific mounting procedures. The crossmember should be installed with the G Force label facing the rear of the vehicle. A key feature for correct installation is a bracket welded to the center tube's back to accept the factory brake cable pulley. Note that to use the provided 7/16" hardware, the frame rail holes may need to be enlarged to 1/2"; using stock 3/8" hardware is possible but requires new Grade #8 fasteners for optimal strength.
