The G Force RCAL-6L80 is a transmission crossmember specifically engineered for 1973-1977 GM A-Body hardtop vehicles. This component is designed to accommodate 6L80E and 6L90E slip yoke transmissions, providing a secure mounting solution for these modern gearboxes in classic chassis. The crossmember is constructed with durability in mind and finished in a black powder coat for corrosion resistance. For the 1973-1977 hardtop frames, the distance between the crossmember frame mounting holes is 51-1/8 inches; users are advised to measure their frame before ordering to guarantee selection accuracy. Fitment is specified for a range of GM A-Body models including Regal, LeMans, Chevelle, Cutlass, El Camino, Malibu, Monte Carlo, Century, Grand Prix, Grand Am, GTO, Vista Cruiser, Laguna, and Sprint. However, it will not fit 1973-1975 El Camino, Sprint, or Laguna models equipped with narrow boxed frame rails. Installation notes indicate that to use the provided 7/16″ hardware, frame holes may need to be enlarged to 1/2″ with a drill. If using stock 3/8″ hardware, using new Grade #8 fasteners is strongly recommended.
