The G Force RCBE-T56 is a transmission crossmember engineered for 1969-1970 GM B-Body vehicles, including models like Bel-Air, Caprice, Impala, and Biscayne. It is designed to accommodate various T-56 transmission variants, including the T-56 Magnum, T-56XL, Magnum XL, and the TR6060. This crossmember features a durable black powder-coated finish for corrosion resistance and comes with the necessary mounting hardware for installation. The product specifications indicate a weight of 40 lbs and shipping dimensions of 57 x 11 x 6 inches. For 1969-1970 frames, the distance between the crossmember frame mounting holes is 54 inches, and users should measure their frame to ensure proper selection. It's important to note that 1969-1970 B-Body vehicles must have two sets of OEM factory crossmember mounting angles on each frame rail to utilize this crossmember, specifically the rearward set. An optional accommodation is available for TH400 or 2004R transmissions if the car was OEM equipped with a TH400 or has two sets of trans-crossmember mounting brackets on each frame rail. For these specific applications, the GF-GMATM Transmission Mount is included. Installation instructions recommend enlarging frame rail holes to 1/2″ for the provided 7/16″ hardware, or using new Grade #8 fasteners if using stock 3/8″ hardware.
