It includes the GF-GMA Transmission Mount and GF-8L90-A transmission mount adapter to ensure proper fitment with these transmissions. The G Force 1970-1974 F-Body Crossmember is engineered for precise fitment in classic GM F-Body vehicles. This component is specifically designed to accommodate the 8L90E Slip Yoke, 10L80E, and 10L90E transmissions, offering a robust solution for engine and transmission swaps. This crossmember is compatible with the 1970-1974 model years of the Chevrolet Camaro, Pontiac Firebird, and Pontiac Trans Am. For a correct installation with the intended transmissions, the package includes the necessary GF-GMA Transmission Mount and the GF-8L90-A transmission mount adapter, which are crucial for aligning the tailshaft housings of the 8L90e and 10L90e transmissions. Installation requires attention to frame measurements. For 1970-1974 frames, the distance between the crossmember frame mounting holes is 30-1/2 inches. It is recommended to measure your frame before ordering to ensure compatibility. The crossmember features a durable black powder-coated finish and comes with all necessary mounting hardware. When installing, the G Force label should face the rear of the vehicle, and the center tube's drain slot should be positioned on the bottom and passenger side. The exhaust clearance humps should be closed on top and open on the bottom. For installation using the provided 7/16″ hardware, you will need to enlarge your frame rail holes to 1/2″. Alternatively, if using the stock 3/8″ hardware, it is strongly advised to use new Grade #8 fasteners for adequate strength.
