Transmission Crossmember

The G Force RCF1-350 is a robust transmission crossmember engineered for GM F and X-Body vehicles from the late 1960s to the mid-1970s. Specifically designed for models such as the Camaro, Nova, Trans Am, Firebird, Ventura, Omega, Apollo, and Chevy II, it covers the 1967-1969 F-Body and 1968-1974 X-Body model years. This crossmember is versatile, fitting both Small Block (SBC) and Big Block (BBC) engines, and is compatible with a wide range of transmissions including TH350, TH200, TH250, Muncie, T10, Super T10, Powerglide, and Saginaw. Constructed with durability in mind, the RCF1-350 features a black powder-coated finish for enhanced resistance to corrosion and wear. All necessary mounting hardware is included for a straightforward installation process. Before ordering, it is crucial to measure the specific frame dimensions. For the 1967-1969 F Body and 1968-1974 X Body frames, the distance between the crossmember frame mounting holes must be 30-3/8 inches. Failure to measure could lead to improper fitment. Additionally, users may need to enlarge the frame rail holes to 1/2" to accommodate the provided 7/16" hardware. If using stock 3/8" hardware, it is strongly advised to use new Grade #8 fasteners for increased strength and security. Installation instructions specify that the G Force label should face the rear of the vehicle. A key identifying feature is the center tube, which has a 1/2" drain slot positioned on the bottom, passenger side, adjacent to the hump weldment.
