The G Force Next Gen RCAENG-BLK transmission crossmember is engineered for 1964-1972 GM A-Body hardtop vehicles, offering a lighter weight design for improved performance over the original RCAE model. It features a durable black powder-coated finish and includes all necessary mounting hardware. This crossmember is compatible with a wide range of transmissions, including TH350, TH400, 200-4R, 700R4, 4L60E, T56, and more, with specific lists provided for 1964-1967 and 1968-1972 model years. It is designed to fit models such as the 442, Cutlass, F85, GTO, Chevelle, Malibu, Monte Carlo, GS, Skylark, and Grand Prix. Important fitment notes include that this crossmember is for 1964-1972 Hardtops Only and will not fit convertibles or El Caminos with a boxed frame. The distance between the frame mounting holes is 53-5/8 inches, and users are advised to measure their frame before ordering. Installation may require enlarging frame rail holes to 1/2 inch for the provided 7/16-inch hardware, or using new Grade #8 fasteners if retaining the stock 3/8-inch size. A polyurethane transmission mount, like the GMTM, is recommended and sold separately.
