Overview

The GForce RCF2L-T56 is a transmission crossmember designed for GM F and X-Body models from 1975-1981 and 1975-1979, respectively. It is compatible with various T56 transmissions, including OEM T56, T-56 Magnum, T-56XL, Magnum XL, and TR6060.

This crossmember is engineered to work best with the GM T-56 transmission originally found in 1993-1997 Camaro or Firebird models, though other T-56 transmissions may necessitate modifications. It features a black powder-coated finish and includes mounting hardware.

The GForce RCF2L-T56 transmission crossmember is specifically designed for GM F and X-Body vehicles, including Camaro, Nova, Trans Am, Firebird, Ventura, Omega, Apollo, Skylark, and Phoenix models. This crossmember is compatible with a range of T56 transmissions such as the OEM T56, T56 Magnum, T56XL, Magnum XL, and TR6060. It is engineered to provide optimal performance with the GM T-56 transmission as found in the 1993-1997 Chevrolet Camaro or Pontiac Firebird. It is important to note that other T-56 transmissions may require modifications for proper fitment. Installation requires attention to the frame mounting hole distance, which is 31-3/4" for 1975-1981 F Body and 1975-1979 X Body frames. It is recommended to measure your frame before ordering to ensure correct selection. G Force also recommends using a polyurethane transmission mount, such as their GMTM, which is sold separately. The crossmember features a durable black powder-coated finish and includes all necessary mounting hardware for installation. Instructions recommend installing the crossmember with the G Force label facing the rear of the vehicle and noting the 1/2" drain slot on the bottom passenger side of the center tube. For installation using the provided 7/16" hardware, frame holes may need to be enlarged to 1/2". If using stock 3/8" hardware, Grade #8 fasteners are strongly recommended.
