Transmission Crossmember

The G Force RCF1-700 is a robust transmission crossmember engineered for a range of GM F and X-Body vehicles, including the Camaro, Nova, Trans Am, Firebird, Ventura, Omega, Apollo, and Chevy II. It is specifically designed to fit 1967-1969 F-Body models and 1968-1974 X-Body models. This crossmember offers broad compatibility, fitting both SBC and BBC engines for the specified F-Body years. It supports a wide array of transmissions, including the 700R4, 4L60, pre-1996 4L60E, TKO-500, TKO-600, TKX, GM T-5, and 2WD-AR5. Furthermore, it is suitable for 1996 and later 4L60E and 4L65E transmissions when used in conjunction with LS engine swaps. Constructed with all-steel and finished in a black powder coat for durability, the RCF1-700 includes mounting hardware. Installation requires attention to detail; users must measure the distance between the crossmember frame mounting holes on their 1967-1969 F Body or 1968-1974 X Body frame, which should be 30-3/8 inches, to ensure proper fitment. A polyurethane transmission mount, such as the GMTM, is recommended and available separately. Installation notes indicate that the crossmember should be installed with the G Force label facing the rear, and the exhaust clearance humps should be oriented with the open side down. For installation using the provided 7/16″ hardware, it is necessary to enlarge frame holes to 1/2″. Alternatively, using stock 3/8″ hardware requires Grade #8 fasteners for optimal security. The product is also dual exhaust ready.
