This crossmember fits 1967-1969 F-Body and 1968-1974 X-Body vehicles, including models like Camaro, Nova, Trans Am, Firebird, Ventura, Omega, Apollo, and Chevy II. It is compatible with both SBC and BBC engines and specifically designed for TH400 short tail, TH375, and 2004R transmissions.

The G Force RCF1-400 is a transmission crossmember engineered for GM F and X-Body vehicles, offering a direct fit for specific models and years. This crossmember is designed for 1967-1969 F-Body (Camaro, Firebird, Trans Am) and 1968-1974 X-Body (Nova, Ventura, Omega, Apollo, Chevy II) frames. It accommodates both Small Block (SBC) and Big Block (BBC) engines and is compatible with TH400 short tail, TH375, and 2004R transmissions. Installation requires attention to frame measurements; the distance between the mounting holes on 1967-1969 F Body and 1968-1974 X Body frames must be 30-3/8 inches. It is recommended to use a polyurethane transmission mount, such as the GMTM, which is sold separately. For mounting, the provided 7/16″ hardware necessitates enlarging frame holes to 1/2″. Alternatively, using stock 3/8″ hardware is possible but requires Grade #8 fasteners for adequate strength. The crossmember features a durable black powder-coated finish and includes all necessary mounting hardware.
