Overview

The GForce RCAL-T56 is a transmission crossmember designed for 1973-1977 GM A-Body hardtop models. It is compatible with T-56, T-56 Magnum, T-56XL, Magnum XL, and TR6060 transmissions.

This crossmember features a black powder-coated finish and includes mounting hardware. The transmission mount is also included for a proper fit. It is important to measure the distance between the crossmember frame mounting holes (51-1/8" for 1973-1977 hardtop frames) before ordering to ensure correct selection.

The GForce RCAL-T56 is a transmission crossmember specifically engineered for 1973-1977 GM A-Body hardtop vehicles, including models like Regal, LeMans, Chevelle, Cutlass, El Camino, Malibu, Monte Carlo, Century, Grand Prix, Grand Am, GTO, Vista Cruiser, Laguna, and Sprint. Designed to accommodate various T-56 family transmissions such as the T-56, T-56 Magnum, T-56XL, Magnum XL, and TR6060, this crossmember ensures a secure and proper fit. A GF-GMATM Transmission Mount is included with the RCAL-T56 to facilitate optimal installation with the specified transmissions. Installation requires careful measurement, particularly for 1973-1977 hardtop frames, where the distance between frame mounting holes should be 51-1/8". For mounting, the provided 7/16" hardware requires enlarging frame rail holes to 1/2" with a drill. Alternatively, using stock 3/8" hardware is possible but Grade #8 fasteners are strongly recommended for adequate compensation. Important fitment notes: This crossmember will not fit 1973-1975 El Camino, Sprint, or Laguna models equipped with narrow boxed frame rails. The product has a durable black powder-coated finish and includes all necessary mounting hardware for installation.
