Transmission Crossmember 78-88 G-Body Cars

G Body Crossmember for 700R4, 4L60E, and T5 Swaps. Fits Models: GM RWD G-Body; Malibu, Monte Carlo, El Camino, Cutlass, Grand Prix, Regal, Century, LeMans, Caballero, Bonneville. Fits Years: 78-88. Fits Transmissions: 700R4 Case Mount, 4L60, 4L60E, 4L65E, T5, TKO, TKX, 2WD-AR5. We recommend a polyurethane transmission mount, sold separately. Some 700R4 transmissions may require a tailshaft mount (RCG-700TSK for 78-83, RCG-700TS for 84-88). T5 installations may require a custom transmission mount. Redesigned to accept double slot bolt pattern of standard transmission mounts. May require removal of catalytic converter heat shield. Passenger side hump is taller for all 78-88 G body crossmembers. Install with exhaust clearance humps closed on top and open on bottom, and G Force label facing rear. Center tube has a 1/2" drain slot positioned on bottom and passenger side next to hump weldment. Requires enlarging frame rail holes to 1/2" for provided 7/16" hardware, or use new Grade #8 3/8" fasteners.
