The G Force RCGNG-8L90 is a lightweight transmission crossmember specifically engineered for 1984-1988 GM G-Body vehicles, including models like the Malibu, Monte Carlo, El Camino, Cutlass, Grand Prix, Regal, Century, LeMans, and Caballero. This crossmember is designed to facilitate the installation of 8L90E slip yoke, 10L80E, and 10L90E transmissions. Included with this crossmember is the GF-GMA™ Transmission Mount, ensuring a proper and secure fit for the specified transmissions. The lightweight design allows for the installation of long tube headers and provides ample clearance for large diameter aftermarket dual exhaust systems, enhancing both performance and customization options. Constructed with a durable black powder-coated finish, the RCGNG-8L90 is built for longevity. Mounting hardware is included to aid in installation. For optimal mounting, it is necessary to enlarge the frame rail holes to 1/2″ if using the provided 7/16″ hardware. Alternatively, using stock 3/8″ hardware is possible but requires new Grade #8 fasteners for recommended strength.
