The PPE Transmission Fluid Thermal Bypass Valve provides a critical cooling upgrade for vehicles equipped with the GM 8L90 8-speed transmission. The factory thermal bypass valve often features restrictive internal passages that can prevent adequate fluid flow to the cooler, especially if the valve fails in the closed position due to mechanical issues or debris. By eliminating this restrictive component, the PPE valve ensures maximum fluid flow to and from the transmission cooler to protect against overheating and premature component wear. Constructed from billet aluminum, this valve includes a service plug equipped with a Neodymium magnet and an O-ring seal. This feature allows for the trapping and easy removal of ferrous debris from the transmission system, a capability not present in the stock unit. This component is specifically designed for 2015-2018 Silverado and Sierra 1500 models with the 8L90 transmission and a 3/8-inch fluid line. It is not compatible with other transmission models or configurations.
