Transmission Mount

The James Barone Racing transmission mount is engineered as a robust replacement for the factory unit, addressing its known weaknesses in performance applications. This mount is available in three distinct durometer ratings: 70A for street use, 80A for a balance of street and track performance, and 88A for maximum stiffness in track and strip environments. Constructed from precision-formed TIG-welded steel and 4130 sleeves, the mount replaces the OEM cast aluminum perch with a 1/4″ plate and a 2″ solid steel stand-off. It features a proprietary polyurethane formula for the bushings, with a larger nearly 3″ diameter bushing in the 70A and 80A versions for enhanced durability and comfort. The 88A version utilizes a smaller 1.5″ diameter bushing for reduced deflection and maximum performance. Installation is designed as a straightforward bolt-on process, and all necessary hardware and instructions are included. The powder-coated finish provides resistance to corrosion, ensuring longevity.
