The ZF Transmission Oil Pan Bolt is an M6x28.5mm Torx mounting bolt specifically designed for plastic transmission oil pans. This bolt serves as a direct replacement for BMW part number 24117552108. This bolt is recommended for replacement during fluid maintenance on ZF transmissions. For ZF 6-speed automatic transmissions, 21 to 24 bolts may be required depending on the specific model. ZF 8-speed automatics typically require 13 bolts. It is crucial to identify your transmission correctly, as the ZF 6-speed transmission features a black plastic oil pan, while a similar GM 6-speed transmission has a silver metal oil pan. The bolts are not interchangeable between these transmissions. Special application notes indicate that this bolt is not for use with the GM GA6L45R 6-speed automatic transmission. It is sold individually and priced per bolt.
