The Derale 14204 transmission cooling pan is engineered to improve the longevity and performance of GM's popular 700R4, 4L60, and 4L60E transmissions. By increasing the fluid capacity by an extra 2 quarts and 4 oz., the pan allows for more efficient heat dissipation, potentially reducing transmission fluid temperatures by up to 50°F. This reduction in heat can significantly extend the life of your transmission and prevent overheating under demanding conditions. Constructed from heavy-gauge stamped steel, this deep sump pan features a 3-5/8 inch depth and a two-stage heat-dissipating black finish. Its design incorporates patented, turbulator-equipped airway tubes that pass through the lower section of the pan, actively aiding in heat transfer. Each pan is individually pressure-tested to guarantee a leak-free performance. The unit also includes a stronger magnetic drain plug with a rubber/steel washer to capture harmful metallic particles, as well as a 1/8" NPT temperature sender bung for easy monitoring of fluid temperature. A neoprene gasket and a 1/8" NPT temperature sender plug are included for a complete installation. This cooling pan is specifically designed to fit GM 700R4, 4L60, and 4L60E transmissions.
