These detent springs are constructed with a black zinc finish for enhanced corrosion resistance, ensuring durability for both daily driving and demanding track use. The kit includes three springs, though the specific number used will depend on the transmission model. For instance, Honda B Series FWD, F Series, and H Series transmissions will utilize two of the three springs, while Honda B Series AWD, K Series FWD & AWD, and D Series (1996-2000) transmissions will use all three. It is important to note that some transmissions, particularly certain B Series gearboxes, have an internal detent spring for the 5th/reverse gate. Replacing this specific spring requires opening the transmission case and is recommended only during a rebuild or synchro refresh. Additionally, these detent springs are not compatible with the following transmissions: 2016+ Honda Civic K Series or L Series, Honda J Series V6, Honda Fit and CR-Z L Series, and Honda Civic 2006–2015 R Series.
