The Recon CR90 torque converter is designed for Dodge, Chrysler, and Jeep vehicles equipped with A500 transmissions, specifically the 42RH, 42RE, 44RE, 32RH, and 30RH variants, from model years 1991 through 2004. This lock-up type converter boasts an 11-inch body diameter and is constructed with a paper clutch friction material for reliable engagement. Key specifications for this torque converter include a 10-inch bolt circle, a 1.81-inch pilot outside diameter, and a medium stall rating. It features a milled flats hub type, four pad mounts, and does not include a ring gear. The unit is identified by stamped codes 596, 783, 784, and 785, and it has 26 turbine splines. This torque converter is compatible with Jeep Wrangler models from 1991-2002 and Jeep Grand Cherokee models from 1994-2004, across 4WD, AWD, and RWD drive types. It is important to note that later Chrysler models may have changed from an offset bolt pattern to a 90° bolt pattern; this converter features the 90° pattern.
