The Steeda Tri-Ax Race Short Throw Shifter offers a significant upgrade over the factory shifter assembly for your 2015+ Mustang GT with an MT-82 transmission. It achieves a 30% reduction in throw between gears and lowers the shift knob by 1 inch, positioning it for more efficient power shifting. The shift lever itself is made from heat-treated and nickel-plated 4140 steel for maximum strength, with all hardware in stainless steel for corrosion resistance. Installation is simplified by its top-loaded design, allowing for adjustments to springs and levers from inside the car after the base plate is mounted. It includes two sets of springs (medium and high resistance) for adjustable shifter feel. The Tri-Ax shifter maintains factory functionality, including the pull-up reverse lockout and backup camera. It also incorporates Dynamat sound-deadening material to maintain quiet operation during daily driving, though an NVH increase may be noted during race applications.
