The Steeda Tri-Ax shifter is a short-throw shifter designed for the 2005-2010 Mustang GT. It features a substantial billet beam replacing the factory steel mounting rail for more positive location and upgraded rear mounting bushings to reduce deflection. The shifter base, handle, and beam are CNC machined from 6061 aluminum.

The Steeda Tri-Ax Short Throw Shifter represents the latest evolution of performance shifting for the 2005-2010 Mustang GT. This shifter enhances positive location with a substantial billet beam replacing the factory steel mounting rail, complemented by upgraded rear mounting bushings to minimize deflection during hard shifts. Constructed from CNC-machined 6061 aluminum for the base, handle, and beam, this shifter also offers a Steeda-exclusive two-position handle height adjustment, allowing drivers to tailor the shifter for optimal throw length and comfortable reach. The design prioritizes a natural shifting feel, avoiding the increased effort and awkwardness found in some other extreme short-throw shifters. It also utilizes no rubber on the main shifter shaft and no nylon bushings in the pivot, preventing wear and NVH issues common with competing designs. The product also boasts superior, patented Steeda technology and is 3 lbs lighter than competing brands. Note: Most aftermarket shift knobs for 2005+ Mustangs will not work with this shifter; it will accept your stock knob or a 1979-2004 shift knob with a 15mm x 1.75 thread.
