The Goerend Triple Disc Torque Converter is engineered for Dodge 47/48RE transmissions, specifically for 5.9L Cummins engines from 1994-2007. This converter utilizes proprietary Alto high-performance multi-disc lockup clutches for robust engagement. The internal components are blueprinted to tolerances below 0.005 inches, and it features a dual Torrington bearing stator design with a billet front cover for enhanced durability. Construction includes a patented fluid flow deflector, computerized robotic welding, a billet lockup piston assembly, and 4140 hardened turbine and flanged impeller hubs. The unit undergoes computerized balancing and is fully pressurized and leak tested to ensure quality. The 15SS stall speed option is recommended for trucks that tow and work hard, offering approximately 200-400 RPM lower stall than stock. It's compatible with stock turbos (0-11,000 ft), 2nd gen Dodges (0-4,000 ft) with stock to 58mm turbos, and 3rd gen Dodges (0-4,000 ft) with stock to 62mm turbos. The 17SS option is for light to heavy towing, with a stall equivalent to stock, and works with various turbo sizes depending on the generation and elevation. The 17-250 stall speed is recommended for spooling larger turbos and is not advised for towing.
