The James Barone Racing Tru-3.0 Wide Path Full Silicone Intake System is engineered as a true 3-inch ID intake, extending seamlessly from the MAF housing to the turbo transition. This system is constructed with thick, 5-ply, wire-reinforced silicone, providing superior insulation against extreme engine temperatures. This superior insulation results in lower boost air temperatures and more horsepower compared to aluminum intakes. Each TRU-3.0 MAF housing is precision-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum to tight tolerances and features an integrated air straightener for accurate MAF sensor signals without the risk of it coming loose. The lightweight housing also reduces heat soak and sheds heat more quickly. The system includes a 3.25” Dry-Flow air filter, which flows 200% more air than the factory filter while capturing particles down to < 0.1 micron, enhancing horsepower and torque. This filter is washable and requires no oiling. Advanced tuning is required for proper operation. Fitment is a simple bolt-on application, compatible with the stock battery box (though the outer ECU cover may need removal) and uses the stock mounting location for the OEM Turbo. It fits with OEM and all aftermarket top mount intercoolers, as well as front mount intercoolers compatible with a conventional short ram intake (SRI).
