Constructed from a single piece of mandrel-bent 6061 aluminum, this intake system is engineered to maximize airflow without mid-way couplers that could disrupt performance. Designed to integrate seamlessly with the factory cold air box, which efficiently delivers fresh, cool air to the engine, this system replaces the restrictive factory accordion hose with a robust, 6-layer wire-reinforced silicone induction hose. Professional-looking, leak-free connections are ensured by the inclusion of wide stainless steel T-bolt clamps. While the intake system itself enhances airflow, James Barone Racing offers an optional Hi-flow, Hi-Performance air filter from Green Filter USA. This filter features double-layered cotton with deep pleats, increasing filtration surface by 10-15% for freer air movement and superior filtration of particles as small as 5 microns. The cotton filter is further protected by a steel wire mesh, providing strength and dent resistance. Independent testing suggests that the Green Filter alone can yield up to a 6.7% increase in horsepower and a 5.7% increase in fuel mileage.
