The JBR TRU-3.5 Wide Path Full Aluminum Intake System is engineered for the 2006-2013 Mazdaspeed 3/6, offering enhanced performance and a distinct turbo spool sound. Its core is a 3.5-inch inside diameter MAF housing, precision-machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum with tight tolerances. This housing features an integrated air straightener, eliminating the ID reduction seen with honeycomb designs and preventing loose parts from entering the turbo. The lightweight MAF housing (9.4oz) is anodized for durability and corrosion resistance, and its design helps reduce heat soak, allowing for quicker heat shedding. This leads to lower intake temperatures and potential power gains. The system includes a 3.75-inch JBR Dry-Flow air filter, which increases airflow by 200% over the stock filter while capturing extremely fine particles (under 0.1 micron). This washable filter requires no oiling for years of maintenance-free service. Installation is a simple bolt-on application, compatible with the stock battery box and OEM turbo mounting location. However, it requires ECU relocation or the JBR Small Battery Box. Advanced ECU tuning is required for proper operation.
