TRU-3.5 Wide Path Full Aluminum Intake System

The James Barone Racing (JBR) TRU-3.5 Wide Path Full Aluminum Intake System is engineered to enhance performance for the 2006-2013 Mazdaspeed 3/6 models. This intake system allows for customization of the turbo inlet size, accommodating turbo inlets from stock up to 4", making it suitable for various build stages. The system boasts a 3.5" inside diameter MAF housing, precision-machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum to tight tolerances. It features an integrated, factory-style air straightener that eliminates the ID reduction seen with honeycomb types and prevents the straightener from becoming loose. The MAF housing is exceptionally lightweight (9.4oz), which helps reduce heat soak, dissipate heat faster, and ultimately lower intake temperatures for improved power output. The anodized finish ensures a smooth, long-lasting, and corrosion-resistant surface. Included with the intake is a 3.75" Dry-Flow air filter, which flows 200% more air than the factory filter while offering superior engine protection by filtering particles down to <0.1 micron. Installation is a simple bolt-on application, compatible with the stock battery box. However, it requires ECU relocation or the JBR Small Battery Box. The system utilizes the stock mounting location for the OEM Turbo, though this may vary with aftermarket GT Turbos. It is compatible with both OEM and aftermarket top mount intercoolers, as well as front mount intercoolers that conventionally fit Short Ram Intakes (SRI). **Important Note:** Advanced tuning is required for this intake system to function properly.
