Tru-Street GM 700-R4 Transmission Package

The Bowler Tru-Street GM 700-R4 Transmission Package is a custom-built automatic transmission designed to handle up to 400 lb-ft of torque, ideal for performance-oriented SBC and BBC applications. This package delivers enhanced durability and performance with all new clutches, steels, seals, gaskets, and Torrington bearings, alongside upgraded high-energy friction plates and an improved 2-4 band. The valve body and pump are blue printed, and the unit features an updated boost valve system, servo, and a hardened sun shell for increased longevity. The package includes a comprehensive accessory kit to ensure a smooth installation and operation. This includes a 1800-2000 stall lock-up torque converter, Bowler's Tru-Shift throttle correction system (carb type must be specified), a lock-up module with a brake switch, an OE-style fill tube, an external transmission cooler with -6AN fittings, 12 quarts of Royal Purple Max ATF fluid, a Sonnax 1350 series slip yoke, and an Energy Suspension transmission mount. A plastic universal flexplate cover and a mechanical speedometer housing with gears (requiring tire diameter and gear ratio specification) are also provided. It can be built for 4x4 applications upon request. Please note that the flexplate, driveshaft, and crossmember are not included. Additionally, this transmission does not include the speedometer housing or driven gear, which can be purchased separately. A 4-week lead time is required for all custom automatic transmissions.
