The DBV2 True 3" MQB Turbo Inlet Pipe is engineered to significantly enhance engine performance by minimizing intake flow restrictions. This allows for a substantial increase in horsepower and torque. The pipe features a large diameter with a smooth transition from the inlet flange to the turbocharger, facilitating a consistent and unrestricted flow of air to the engine. The improved airflow achieved with this inlet pipe leads to faster turbo spool and a quicker, more responsive turbo delivery of power. Furthermore, the reduced flow restrictions contribute to a lower wastegate duty cycle, enabling the turbocharger to reach its target boost levels more quickly and efficiently. This makes the DBV2 True 3" MQB Inlet Pipe a crucial upgrade for drivers seeking to optimize their engine's performance. Constructed from 3" 16-gauge 304 mandrel-bent stainless steel piping, the inlet pipe is built for durability and performance. It features a locally CNC-machined 304 stainless steel turbo inlet flange with an integrated velocity stack, as well as a locally CNC-machined PCV barb and bracket. The entire assembly is fully hand TIG welded and back purged for maximum integrity. Note that couplers are no longer provided with this inlet pipe, as fitment across various intakes may not accommodate 3" couplers. The manufacturer also highlights that this pipe is designed for optimal flow when paired with their DBV2 IS38 Hybrid IS38 turbochargers.
