The Tuff Support 614071 trunk lid lift support is engineered to meet or exceed OEM specifications, ensuring a reliable replacement for your vehicle's original part. Each rod undergoes laser inspection to guarantee precision in diameter and to check for any imperfections. The rods are further enhanced through heat treatment and nitration, providing increased hardness and superior resistance to corrosion for a longer service life. They are treated with a phosphate coating before painting to maximize corrosion protection and ensure strong paint adhesion. The rods are precisely machined using centerless grinding and polishing equipment, and then treated with centerless rollers to achieve a smooth surface finish, contributing to the long-term performance of the Tuff Support springs. Internal components, including seals, washers, and O-rings, are sourced from manufacturers certified to TS16949 and ISO9001 standards, reflecting a commitment to quality and consistency. Tuff Support lift supports come with a 2-year warranty. This particular lift support is compatible with 2001-2006 Chrysler Sebring models. Note that one customer reported issues with fitment, requiring adjustments to the joint connection piece, suggesting potential variations or the need for careful installation. It is recommended that lift supports be replaced in pairs, as it can be difficult to determine which support is failing.
