The Shrader Performance Rear Seat Delete kit is engineered to significantly reduce weight in your Mustang, with the potential to shed 28-30 pounds compared to the factory rear seats. This kit is exclusively manufactured by Shrader Performance, focusing on removing as much weight as possible while maintaining robust support. A key feature is the easily accessible back panel, which can be lowered for trunk access by simply popping out two plastic clips – a first for their Mustang designs. The panels are constructed from rigid molded plastic and are finished in black carpet, providing a durable surface strong enough to hold luggage, small animals, or tires. This offers a distinct advantage over flimsy, lower-quality alternatives available on the market. The kit includes sound insulation padding built directly into each panel and ensures the trunk area maintains a finished appearance, with no detail overlooked. Detailed instructions are included to guide the process. This kit is specifically designed for 2015+ Mustang Coupes (hardtops), including V6, GT, and Ecoboost models. It is important to note that this kit is Coupe Only and does not fit Convertible models. Specialized tools required for installation include basic metric sockets and T40 and T50 Torx bits.
