The Traxxas TRX-4 Scale and Trail Crawler is an all-new Traxxas design that instantly obsoletes the status quo with greatly expanded features, versatility, and capability. It is rugged, powerful, and ready for fun! Equipped with Traxxas' game-changing portal axle set, it offers huge center pumpkin ground clearance and reduces torque twist. The portal axle geometry also raises the axle link mounts and center driveshaft, greatly reducing critical driveshaft and suspension link angles for improved clearance and less scraping. A heavy-duty formed-steel ladder frame with molded cross members creates an extremely rigid backbone. The TRX-4 features remote locking differentials for versatile driving on various terrains and a 45-degree steering angle. It has a Hi/Low range transmission for incredible 4-wheel drive pulling torque or blasting down the trail. A new full-metal gear digital servo provides durability and steering authority. Traxxas' patented innovation makes the TRX-4 fully waterproof, allowing it to tackle creeks, snow, and mud. The legendary Land Rover Defender body includes exciting scale details such as a functional spare wheel and tire, an off-road jack, spare fuel canisters, and a roof basket. Detailed inner fenders integrate with the scale look and help keep out debris. The Traxxas TQi radio system is equipped with cruise control for long-distance treks. The new XL-5 HV electronic speed control brings 3S LiPo capability for stronger, more efficient running, with new speed control profiles for smooth and precise control. Canyon Trail 1.9" tires and tuned foam inserts deliver superior bite on rocky surfaces with convincing scale realism. The 12 mm steel hex drive makes the TRX-4 chassis compatible with popular 1.9" wheel and tire combinations. The chassis is built to handle the rigors of remote locations and all-day driving fun, with 1.5 mm thick steel frame rails, large diameter steel links, heavy-duty rod ends, and hardened steel CV-style half-shaft joints. All new oil-filled coil-over GTS shocks, made from silver-anodized aluminum, deliver silky-smooth damping performance and feature threaded shock bodies for easy ride height adjustments. The front motor design biases weight forward for superior climbing ability.
