The Texas Speed & Performance TSP Stage 3 High Lift Truck Camshaft is engineered to enhance the performance of GM LS-based truck engines. With specifications of 216 degrees of intake duration and 220 degrees of exhaust duration, a .600 inch lift on both intake and exhaust valves, and a 112 LSA (Lobe Separation Angle), this camshaft is designed to optimize power output across a broad RPM range. This camshaft is specifically recommended for 4.8L, 5.3L, 5.7L, and 6.0L engines. It has demonstrated impressive performance gains, with independent dyno testing on a stock 5.3L engine yielding an increase of 67.1 horsepower and 26.8 ft-lbs of torque at the flywheel. The effective power band for this camshaft ranges from 1400 to 6500 RPM. While not strictly requiring an aftermarket stall converter, the use of a 3000+ RPM stall converter is recommended to achieve maximum performance potential. The manufacturer also specifies that PAC 1219 or TSP/PAC .660 dual valve springs are recommended for use with this camshaft. The desired compression ratio for optimal performance is 9.5:1 or higher.
