TT/VR4 Downpipe V2

The 3SX Performance TT/VR4 Downpipe V2 is a custom-manufactured, full stainless steel exhaust component engineered to fit all 1991-1999 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 and Dodge Stealth Twin Turbo models. It utilizes 2.5" piping from the pre-cats, which is mandrel-bent to merge into a 3" section, complete with a flex-section and a 3" rear flange. Constructed from durable stainless steel, this downpipe includes a front flex section to accommodate engine movement and facilitate fitment with G1 and G2 precats. It retains the stock exhaust hanger and allows for connections to the stock main cat, 3SX high-flow catalytic converters, or a test pipe. The design supports the use of stock pre-cats or pre-cat eliminators. It is important to note that for all 1994–1999 vehicles requiring four O2 sensors, the O2 sensor bungs were welded in incorrect locations. For proper installation and sensor positioning on these models, the bungs will need to be relocated and rewelded. The specific issues noted for 1994-1999 models are that the rear secondary O2 sensor faces the firewall, and the front O2 sensor faces downward below the body line. Adjustments should be made prior to final installation. 1991–1993 models are not affected by this O2 sensor bung placement issue. Additionally, the manufacturer recommends checking the condition of the motor mounts. Worn motor mounts can lead to excessive engine movement, potentially causing damage to the downpipe's flex section, as well as transmission/axle seals, and vacuum lines. It is advised to purchase necessary gaskets, such as Gasket-7002, Gasket-7015, and 3" Exhaust Gaskets, for installation. For 1991-1993 models, an additional O2 Plug must be purchased separately.
