TTE400 Turbocharger Upgrade

The Turbo Engineers TTE400 is a hybrid turbocharger upgrade meticulously engineered for the BMW N20 four-cylinder petrol engine. TTE modifies the original compressor by incorporating a significantly larger and more efficient billet 6+6 wheel. The compressor cover is then precisely CNC milled to achieve an optimal gap, ensuring a smooth transition to the intake inlet, unlike the restrictive step found in competing products. Furthermore, the original exhaust turbine is replaced, and the turbine housing is CNC milled to accept a larger 9-blade turbine, which enhances gas flow and reduces backpressure. To ensure longevity and peak performance, the turbochargers are subjected to rigorous balancing procedures. Initially, individual parts are balanced at slow speeds up to 2800 RPM using a single-parts balancing machine. Subsequently, the assembled components, including the CHRA (center housing rotating assembly), are dynamically balanced at speeds up to 250,000 RPM on an in-house VSR machine to achieve superior equilibrium, exceeding OEM standards. Each turbocharger is delivered with a unique, serial-numbered balance test result document. This turbocharger upgrade is designed to handle up to 600 horsepower and is described as a bolt-on, plug-and-play solution. It is important to note that this product is not for sale or use in the state of California on any pollution-controlled vehicle, as per the California Air Resources Board. Additionally, you are required to ship your OE turbochargers to The Turbo Engineers as a core to be rebuilt/upgraded.
